Kayan Wellness Festival has been cancelled
Organisers have called off the five-day wellness festival in Abu Dhabi.
Due to the recent severe weather in the UAE, the inaugural Kayan Wellness Festival has been called off.
The first Kayan Wellness Festival in Abu Dhabi was supposed to run from 17 to 21 April with a focus on the body, mind and soul. The festival was expected to take place on Al Fahid Island and bring classes, talks and workshops to the capital.
The brand’s social media account announced the cancellation: “The KAYAN Wellness Festival has been cancelled due to the unforeseen weather forecasts and the damages created onsite over the past two days. We are adamant about the safety and security of the public, which remains at the forefront and centre of our plans. We promise to bring back KAYAN, bigger, better, and sunnier!”
What was on the agenda?
Kayan Wellness Festival would’ve featured a range of exciting events for adults and children. Guests would have had access to energy healing, meditation, sound healing, and yoga sessions. The first day would’ve opened with a pilates and posture class, and talks on nutrition, motherhood and the science of breathing. Plus, classes on circuit training, dance, HIIT, flow yoga and kundalini yoga were expected.
Kayan Wellness Festival would’ve brought together a range of experts, performers and speakers from around the world. Lebanese Ramy Naouss is a cancer survivor turned motivational speaker, and he broke a Guinness World Record for the longest duration standing on a sadhu nail board. British Portuguese singer Nessi Gomes was expected to perform onstage and Sara Masinaei should have hosted classes for children throughout the event. The children’s activities include art and identity, cultural integration, crafting affirmation cards, mindful breathing, music and art, and yoga.
