The fourth edition takes place at Coca-Cola Arena Dubai.

AFROWORLD is back. Now in its fourth edition, the music event showcases the biggest artists in the Afrobeats scene. Taking place on 16 December at Coca-Cola Arena Dubai, the American rapper Gunna will be headlining the event.

AFROWORLD will be a one-of-a-kind show, which celebrates Afro-inspired sounds. The event brings together state-of-the-art production and stunning visuals in a world-class venue.

Gunna, real name Sergio Giavanni Kitchens, was born in Georgia, United States. In 2018, he rose to fame with his mixtape, Drip Season 3 and Drip Harder. In 2019, he released his debut album Drip or Drown 2. His songs include Drip Too Hard with Lil Baby, Lemonade with Nav and Power with Drake. Over his career, he has also been nominated for four Grammy Awards.

Gunna has also made the headlines with his legal issues. In 2022, he and fellow rapper Young Thug were charged in a 56 count RICO Act indictment act. Gunna turned himself into the authorities, and took a plea deal to be released from prison. Following this period, he released the album A Gift & A Curse

If you love live music, there are plenty of cool concerts in the UAE. The Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2023’s Yasalam After-Race Concerts will welcome American singer Ava Max, dance DJ Tiësto, rock group Foo Fighters and country superstar Shania Twain.
