Music fans, we have some big news. Australian rapper The Kid Laroi is coming to Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena on Friday, 19 April, and here’s how you can get your hands on tickets to see The Kid Laroi in Dubai.
The Kid Laroi, real name Charlton Kenneth Jeffrey Howard, hails from New South Wales, Australia. He was born into a musical family, as his dad was a sound engineer and his mum was a talent manager and record label founder. He is mixed race and got his stage name Laroi from his Aboriginal background. Plus, his influences include Kanye West, The Fugees and Tupac.
The Kid Laroi started off by uploading music onto SoundCloud and signed a development deal with Sony Music Australia. In 2018, he released his debut EP, 14 With a Dream. His singles include Addison Rae, Diva, Go, Thousand Miles, Without You, and Stay, a collaboration with Justin Bieber which spent six weeks at number one on the Hot 100. Over his career, he has collaborated with Miley Cyrus and Tokyo’s Revenge.
The Kid Laroi in Dubai concert will see special guests Iann Dior and Karl Wolf join the fun. Puerto Rican-born and Texas-raised rapper Iann Dior has taken the music world by storm with his unique fusion of genres, earning international acclaim, especially for his chart-topping hit Mood in collaboration with 24kGoldn. Meanwhile, Lebanese-Canadian singer-songwriter Karl Wolf has captivated audiences with hits such as Africa and Carrera., melding R&B, pop, and world music.
If you love live music, then you’re in for a treat. John Legend will take to the Saadiyat Nights stage in Abu Dhabi on 2 March, R&B sensation Khalid will perform in Dubai on 8 March, while BRED Abu Dhabi brings American hip-hop stars Metro Boomin, Offset, and Ty Dolla $ign to the capital in April.
