The show takes place on 25 October.
It’s time to have a laugh. The British comedian Romesh Ranganathan will be headlining Coca-Cola Arena. The show takes place on 25 October, and marks his debut in Dubai. So, if you want to giggle at the gig, here’s what you need to know.
Romesh had a sell-out tour in 2022, and is now bringing his new show The Hustle to Dubai. The show explores the human condition, and asks the big questions. Are humans inherently good? Is charity positive? And what are the keys to success?
Romesh is of Sri Lankan heritage and was born in Crawley, West Sussex. He was originally a mathematics teacher, and went onto become a performer. He previously performed as a freestyle rapper, and was called Ranga. He then switched from rapping to telling jokes.
Romesh has been a guest on shows including 8 Out of 10 Cats, Have I Got News For You, Mock the Week and QI. He presented the BBC Three series, Asian Provocateur, which saw him explore his Sri Lankan ancestry. The series Just Another Immigrant aired on Showtime, and followed him as he moved to Los Angeles. Plus, he has channelled his love of hip-hop to the BBC Radio 2 Show, For The Love of Hip-Hop.
If you love comedy, there are a range of exciting events. Trevor Noah performs on 28 February, Kevin Hart performs on 4 March, and Jo Koy performs on 26 May. Plus, previous performers this year include Omid Djalili and Michael McIntyre.
Tickets are available now and start from AED 195.
