Dubai Opera has announced an exciting line-up of shows for autumn and winter. The highlights include the British singer, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who is best-known for her single Murder on the Dancefloor. Plus, the line-up includes France’s former First Lady, Carla Bruni; Italian popstar Umberto Tozzi; and the Polish National Opera.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor hails from Hounslow, London. Sophie will perform at Dubai Opera on 26 October. She first came to prominence in the early 2000s. She topped the charts with her single, Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love). She is famous for her disco meets electronic sound, and her singles include Get Over You, Mixed up World and Music Gets the Best Of Me. The 2001 hit Murder on the Dancefloor returned to the charts in 2024, thanks to its inclusion in the film Saltburn.

Carla Bruni Dubai Opera

Carla Bruni was born in Turin, Italy. Carla will perform at Dubai Opera on 27 September. She was a fashion model and singer and later became the First Lady of France when she married the then President, Nicolas Sarkozy. She previously wrote songs for Julien Clerc and featured on his album. In 2003, she released her debut album, Quelqu’un M’a Dit. Over her career, she has sold five million albums.

Dubai Opera will also welcome the Polish National Opera with Aida from 13 to 15 September, Giselle from 18 to 21 September, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 on 22 September. Catch Italian artist Umberto Tozzi on 28 September, Academy Award-winning music artist Gustavo Santaolalla on 5 October, Grammy Award-winning pianist Brad Mehldau on 10 October, and Romeo and Juliet from 17 to 18 October.
