The rock group The Mission will make their Middle Eastern debut.

Dubai has been a hotspot for some of the biggest concerts in the world. From hosting the likes of Ed Sheeran, James Blunt, and many more, the city has seen it all. And now, it’s about to get a rock concert like never before. The From The Oyster Comes The Pearl festival is heading to Dubai this year, promising a night of unforgettable head-banging hits.

Taking place on Saturday, 23 November, From The Oyster Comes The Pearl festival will be held at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium. Four rock bands will take to the stage with The Mission headlining the show. Formed in 1985, the upcoming concert will mark their debut in the Middle East. Expect to bang your head to hits like Wasteland, Tower of Strength, and many more.

Apart from The Mission, Claytown Troupe will also take to the stage. The band has previously toured with Ozzy Osbourne and Pearl Jam and has songs such as Hey Lord, Real Life and many others to its credit.

Other performers also include IST IST and The Chameleons. For those unversed with IST IST, the post-punk band hailing from Manchester is only about a decade old but has been wowing crowds since. Their upcoming stint in Dubai comes fresh after their recent sold-out European tour. Some of their bangers include A New Love Song, You’re Mine and Lost My Shadow.

Similarly, The Chameleons are also a post-punk band from Manchester. Formed over 40 years ago, this band’s early hits take inspiration from U2. Their most famous tracks include View From a Hill, Here Today and Inside Out, among many others.

Together, these bands promise a night of head-banging rock glory. So all you older millennials and Gen X, get your rock band merch out — we know you’ve still got it — and make your way to the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium this November. Early bird tickets for From The Oyster Comes The Pearl festival are live now and start at AED 199.
