The festival brings together nineties and noughties hits.
Put your hands in the air. Cele Retro Fest is coming to Dubai, and brings together artists from the nineties and noughties. The acts range from Dr Alban to Ice MC, and include a special mystery guest. Taking place at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on 25 November, here’s what you need to know about the festival.
Cele Retro Fest features ten dazzling artists, which includes Haddaway, Ingrid, La Bouche, Nana Darkman, Na-Na, Mr President and Snap. Headliners include the Swedish Nigerian Dr Alban, who owns his own record label, Dr Records. He is famous for blending Euro dance with hip-hop and reggae. Plus, Ice MC is a British rapper who is known for Euro dance hits including Take Away Colour and Think About the Way.
German Trinidadian Haddaway is best known for the catchy dance song, What is Love? The song was a worldwide hit and reached number one in 13 countries. The German duo La Bouche are famous for their songs Be My Lover, Sweet Dreams and You Won’t Forget Me.
There are plenty of exciting music events coming to the UAE. UNTOLD Dubai is a mega music festival taking place at EXPO City in February 2024, and was announced in style with DJ Armin van Buuren. KISS will perform in Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena on 13 October, Robbie Williams will perform in the Etihad Arena on 18 October, and Bryan Adams will perform in Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena on 4 November.
The doors for Cele Retro Fest open at 5pm, and the show starts at 6pm. Standard tickets start from AED 150 and regular tickets start from AED 170. Fan zone tickets start from AED 315, and a VIP table of four starts from AED 3,600.
