The epic music festival returns on Saturday, 17 May.
Hold onto your glow sticks, the electronic music festival Elrow XXL is back in the UAE. The must-visit rave is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 17 May 2025, for its season-closing festival. The must-visit rave is welcoming Bora Uzer, Ilario Alicante, Franky Rizardo, Kasia, Patrick Topping, Quilliam, Stasi Sanlin and Tini Gessler. Set to take place at Jubilee Park at Expo City Dubai, here’s what to expect from the massive event.
Elrow is a magical music festival that showcases the best electronic music. It has taken place in cities from Amsterdam to London and is returning to Dubai for the third time. The epic music festival can hold up to 12,000 people. There’s even talk of one of Elrow’s largest stages – the pirate ship-like Rowmudas Triangle – making an appearance.

There aren’t many festivals in the world that can claim a 150-year history, but Elrow has a quirky origin story. José Satorres, who was born in Fraga, Spain, founded the festival. While serving in the military, he discovered cabarets and cultivated his love of music. In 1870, he opened Café Jospet, a social club that would become the beginning of what is now a worldwide festival.
Elrow’s biggest-ever show in the Middle East promises to feature its biggest stage yet. You can sign up for early ticket registration on the official Elrow XXL website. Pre-sale tickets will be available starting Friday, 3 February, while the general sale takes place from Thursday, 6 February, although prices have not yet been confirmed.
The lineup includes Bora Uzer who blends vocals, instruments, and electronic beats on tracks such as “Street Love (Cioz Remix)”, Italian techno mainstay Ilario Alicante who is famous for the song“Vacaciones En Chile”, Dutch DJ Franky Rizardo, and rising Miami-based artist KASIA who is known for her hit “Universal Nation”. Central Asian talent Stasi Sanlin will bring afro-infused melodic techno to the stage, UK tech-house titan Patrick Topping will perform, as will Spanish-based DJ Tini Gessler and Dubai-based favourite Quilliam. Previous editions of the festival were headlined by Armand Van Helden, DJ Fisher, Eats Everything, Idris Elba, Sonny Fodera, and Wade.
If you’re looking for more music events in the UAE, there are not just mega festivals but mega artists coming to the country. Upcoming concerts include Ed Sheeran at the Off Limits festival in Abu Dhabi on 26 April, and R&B superstar Usher will perform at Etihad Park in the capital on 19 April.
