The show was scheduled to take place at Coca-Cola Arena on Sunday, 12 May 2024.

In a career spanning more than two decades, rapper T.I. has collaborated with a star-studded roster that includes Eminem, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, and Rihanna. For his next collaboration, the 43-year-old was due to share the stage with Nicole Scherzinger in Dubai. The two singing sensations were to perform their greatest hits during a night of noughties nostalgia on Sunday, 12 May 2024. The show has now been cancelled.

No official statement has been released regarding the cancelled show, however, all social media posts relating to the event have been removed from the official Coca-Cola Arena Instagram account. Platnumlist is also processing refunds via its ticketing platform for the event.

Nicole Scherzinger is a multi-hyphenate whose career spans singing, dancing, acting, and television. She rose to fame as the lead singer of the girl group Pussycat Dolls, who dominated the charts in the mid-2000s with hits like “Buttons” and “Don’t Cha.” Scherzinger left the group in 2010 and pursued a successful solo career, releasing albums like “Her Name Is Nicole” and scoring hits like “Baby Love” and “Don’t Hold Your Breath.” Beyond music, she’s appeared in the West End production of “Cats”, won the television show Dancing with the Stars and has served as a judge on The Masked Singer and The X Factor.

Rapper T.I. is no stranger to Dubai. Born Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., T.I. emerged onto the music scene in the early 2000s. His debut album, “I’m Serious”, laid the foundation for a storied career. Yet it was his sophomore effort, “Trap Muzik”, that catapulted him to stardom. This release coined the term “trap music” and showcased the rapper’s dexterity in storytelling, painting vivid pictures of the struggles and triumphs of street life in the American South.

T.I.’s ability to seamlessly switch between conscious rap and club bangers has garnered him a loyal fan base, while tracks like “Live Your Life,” “Swagga Like Us”, and “Whatever You Like” have earned him chart-topping success. Beyond music, T.I. can be seen in movies such as Ant-Man (2015) and Monster Hunter (2020).

The stars keep on coming to the UAE. Upcoming concerts at Coca-Cola Arena include Boyz II Men on 28 April, Jason Derulo on 4 May, Blackstreet and Shaggy on 11 May and James Blunt on 24 May.
