Grab your cargo trousers – the nostalgia fest takes place in December.
Dust off your bomber jackets and flannel shirts, as The Big 90s Fest is coming to Dubai. The festival celebrates all things 90s. So, whether you love girl power or teen spirit, the event will take you on a nostalgia trip.
The Big 90s Fest in Dubai is scheduled to take place in December 2023. So far, the exact date and location have not yet been confirmed. Judging from past events, we’re expecting big name acts from the decade. Previous line-ups have included Artful Dodger, Basshunter, N Trance, Phats and Small, Sonique and The Prodigy.
The 90s introduced us to some of the biggest rivalries in the music industry. We’re talking Blur and Oasis, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, Spice Girls and All Saints, Backstreet Boys and N Sync, and, of course, 2 Pac and Notorious B.I.G.
The best-selling songs of the decade include Bryan Adams’ Everything I Do, I Do it for You, which was from film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, and Celine Dion’s My Heart will Go On, which was from the film Titanic. Plus, Los Del Rio’s Macarena, which started a dance craze.
The Big 90s Fest is touring the world and is heading to Australia and New Zealand. The festival is also taking place in Adelaide, Auckland, Brisbane, Christchurch, Melbourne and Perth.
If you can’t wait until December, there is Back to the Nineties festival in Dubai. The event takes place in The Agenda Venues on 5 May. The line-up includes Dr. Alban, Jenny Berggren from Ace of Base, Culture Beat, Nana and Rednex.
If you want to join The Big 90s Fest, tickets have not yet been released. Visitors must book tickets in advance, and be aged 18 years old or above.
The Rachel haircut is optional.
