The Lebanese fine-dining concept will launch an outpost at Dubai Mall later this year.
Babel, the award-winning Lebanese restaurant, is no stranger to Dubai — the name may ring a bell as it was once located at La Mer. Currently operating outposts in Lebanon (Dbayeh, Zaitunay Bay, and Amchit) and Kuwait, the fine-dining concept is gearing up to return to the UAE, this time taking up residence at Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue.
For the uninitiated, Babel is one of the leading Lebanese restaurants in the region, providing progressive culinary experiences through a contemporary fusion of flavours since 2009. But despite its innovative spin on Mediterranean classics, the finest Lebanese ingredients always take centre stage.
Spanning 9,500 square feet, the luxury dining space promises to transport patrons on an ancient voyage to the banks of the Euphrates, the historical site of the mighty city of Babel. Here, they will be welcomed into a Mediterranean-inspired ambience designed to deliver a sensory dining experience. Guests will encounter a seamless fusion of food presentation and preparation within a spacious indoor dining area featuring an open kitchen concept and a dedicated fresh seafood display. the restaurant also boasts an expansive terrace that offers panoramic views of the Dubai Fountain.
We’re told that plans for regional expansion will soon span Qatar, Iraq and Egypt, too. As for the upcoming location in Dubai? Brought to the city by Afkar Holding, it is expected to debut in Q3 and aims to win over diners by reimagining time-honoured Lebanese cuisine.
