Dubai, a beautiful beachfront restaurant is coming from Cannes to the city. Bâoli Dubai is scheduled to open in J1 Beach on 21 November. Sunset Hospitality Group has partnered with Downtown Ventures, and the venue will showcase French and Mediterranean flavours.
Bâoli was born in Cannes and later expanded to Miami. The brand has combined the vibes of Southeast Asia and the South of France and created a celebrity hangout. The Cannes venue is frequented by famous faces, especially during the Cannes Film Festival. A-list guests have included Eva Mendes, Jay-Z, Naomi Watts, and Sienna Miller.
Spanning roughly 2,000 square meters, the venue features an array of themed spaces, from the Pool & Beach area and petal-shaped Sun Deck to the Sunset Lounge, indoor-outdoor restaurant, and the exclusive Moon Room speakeasy for intimate evenings.
At the heart of Bâoli Dubai’s culinary experience is the main restaurant, offering a menu that harmoniously blends Coastal Mediterranean flavors with East Asian influences. Signature items include premium sashimi and nigiri, inventive handrolls, and shareable makis, along with tartares, carpaccio, a selection of caviar and oysters, and creatively crafted hot appetizers. The Robata menu is divided into ‘Sea,’ featuring Argentinian red prawns and glazed octopus; ‘Land,’ with options like duck breast and wagyu skewers; and ‘Earth,’ including vegetarian selections such as grilled sweet corn and Italian violet aubergine.
Designed by the acclaimed Lazaro Rosa Violan Design Studio, Bâoli’s interior marries traditional Asian influences with modern aesthetics, creating a tropical forest-inspired ambiance akin to its Cannes flagship. Lush greenery, intricate textures, immersive lighting, and striking landscaping contribute to the venue’s sophisticated charm, while natural materials like local wood and stone blend the design with its surroundings.
In an exciting collaboration, Prada will introduce exclusive boutiques at Bâoli Dubai, with one shop near the entrance and another in the lush garden area. Showcasing Prada’s latest collections, these boutiques offer guests a premium shopping experience that complements Bâoli’s luxurious atmosphere. This partnership between two global icons creates a unique destination for Dubai’s elite.
