The upcoming restaurant will be located at The Ritz-Carlton, DIFC.
Dubai is always exciting foodies with its expanding roster of unique dining experiences. With the likes of Sexy Fish, SUSHISAMBA and Zuma already wowing diners, now yet another world-renowned name is joining the emirate’s illustrious food map. Get ready to welcome Chotto Matte to Dubai.
Opening its doors in early 2025, Chotto Matte Dubai will find a home at The Ritz-Carlton, DIFC. This addition promises to bring the best of Nikkei cuisine – a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian flavours – to Dubai.
If you’re already salivating, you’re not alone. Chotto Matte’s menu is known for its blend of flavours. Based on its offerings in other cities, you can expect the likes of sushi, raw plates, and robata grill. These will include favourites such as Jumbo Prawn Tempura, Wagyu Beef Gyoza, Black Cod Aji Miso and much more. Desert lovers are in for a treat as well, with Matcha Crepe Cake, Mochi Ice Cream, and more items on the menu.
It’s not just the food that sets Chotto Matte apart. Expect a visual feast, too, with flaming robata theatrics, art installations, and an ambience amped up by live DJ performances.
For those unversed, Chotto Matte – which means “wait a minute” – started in 2013, when Kurt Zdesar, the visionary behind the concept, set out to redefine the restaurant scene. With a background that includes working with brands like Hakkasan and Nobu, he curated a space that would celebrate the flavours of Nikkei cuisine in a stylish setting.
The restaurant debuted in London and has expanded globally including the Middle East, with openings in Doha and Riyadh’s KAFD. And the upcoming outpost in Dubai is guaranteed to elevate the dining scene in the city.
So get ready because Chotto Matte Dubai promises a sensory overload of great food, stunning visuals, and fun vibes.
