The Japanese restaurants can be found in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
The Japanese Daikan brand is expanding from Abu Dhabi to Dubai. The brand will be bringing Daikan Izakaya to C2 in City Walk. So, if you’re a fan of ramen, here’s what you need to know
The Daikan brand was started as a family-run concept by the brothers Bilal and Salih Elmascan. The pair are of Kurdish descent and fell in love with Asian cuisine on their travels. The original restaurant launched in Cologne, Germany, and later expanded. As the brand grew, the goal was to offer a halal version of Asian food in the Middle East.
Now, Daikan Izakaya can be found in Abu Dhabi at Yas Bay. While sister brand Daikan Ramen can be found in Dubai at Lakeshore Towers in JLT and Nakheel Mall on The Palm.
Daikan Izakaya’s menu aims to offer an authentic Japanese experience. The menu spans starters, small plates, ramen, charcoal skewers, charcoal plates, sushi, sashimi and desserts. The ramen includes a Chef’s Special with chicken or tofu. The charcoal plates include Angus Beef Bao Ribs, Butter Garlic Prawn and Yakiniku Sliders. Plus, the sushi and sashimi include California Rolls, Dragon Rolls and Nori Tacos. Daikan Izakaya takes pride in its in-house noodle production and locally sourced ingredients, ensuring the highest quality and freshness in every bowl.
C2 is set to become Dubai’s newest dining destination for licensed casual dining. The district boasts 11 restaurants, from Brass Monkey to Mythos Urban Greek Eatery and Nola Bijou Bistro & Bar. The charm of C2 lies not just in its restaurant options but also in its ambience, blending warm indoor spaces with inviting alfresco dining areas set within three beautifully landscaped courtyards.
