The new concept was created by world-famous pastry chef Angelo Musa.
If you’re on the lookout for a taste of luxury and a dash of delight, you’re in for a treat. We’re about to spill the tea on a new afternoon tea at The Lana, Dorchester Collection, which brings the magic of world-renowned pastry chef Angelo Musa to the city.
Rising to the occasion, The Gallery offers a stunning setting for this afternoon tea with its beautiful interiors, complemented by the views of the Marasi Bay Marina. The lofty high ceilings, archways, and walls adorned with artwork create an environment that’s as inviting as it is luxurious. For those seeking a more casual dining experience, The Gallery’s Veranda offers a breezy ambience for you to enjoy.
Afternoon tea is a British tradition that dates back to the 1840s. Anna Maria Russell, the seventh Duchess of Bedford, is credited for introducing the concept after complaining of a “sinking feeling” experienced during the late afternoon. The Gallery’s afternoon tea includes an extensive selection of teas and an array of traditional finger sandwiches, from Smoked Scottish Salmon to Slow-Roasted Wagyu Beef. Or choose from the freshly baked scones, served with Devon clotted cream and Chef Angelo Musa’s signature jams, alongside a tempting assortment of pastries. With summer here, you can expect to sip on iced teas or lemonade prepared tableside while listening to the tunes of the house pianist.
Elsewhere, The Gallery promises to elevate your day-to-night dining experience. Start your morning with granola topped with almond milk and fresh fruits or treat yourself to a sumptuous lobster bucatini for lunch.
Acclaimed chef Angelo Musa is behind the hotel’s pretty Parisian restaurant, Bonbon Café. The Lana, Dorchester Collection is also home to Insta-worthy views and a Dior Spa.
