The Jermyn Street restaurant is famous for its Entrecôte Steak.
Restaurants have long been making their way between the United Kingdom and UAE. Now, London’s spectacular steakhouse, Rowley’s, is set to expand to Dubai. Rowley’s Dubai will be located in DIFC, and is scheduled to open in December.
The original Rowley’s restaurant can be found in Jermyn Street, London. The first location was home to the Walls meat business, and where Richard Walls learnt his trade. Over the years, the business has been kept in the family, and prides itself on maintaining the same high quality.
In 1976, Rowley’s opened its restaurants, and gained a reputation for its steaks. The concept showcases steaks that are dry aged and grass fed, and traditional British food. Today’s menu spans bites, starters, house specials, mains sides, sauces and desserts. The signature dish is the Entrecôte Steak, which is served with the restaurant’s secret herb, roquefort and butter sauce.
Rowley’s Dubai food menu includes Chateaubriand, Focaccia and Sourdough, Fillet Steak and Sirloin Steak. Desserts include Apple Tarte Tatin, Chocolate and Hazelnut Mousse Cheesecake, Ice Cream and Sorbet, and Sticky Toffee Pudding with vanilla ice cream. Plus, a Cheese board with grapes, apple, date chutney and crackers.
Rowley’s Dubai’s drinks menu includes red, rosé and white wine, and Champagne and sparkling wine. Guests can take their pick from Bardolino Chiaretto Rosato; Jardins de Gascogne Rosé; Jardins de Gascogne Rouge; Malbec Punto Alto; and Pinot Grigio, Ca Luca.
The original venue boasts an old-world charm. The décor includes floor-to-ceiling windows that look out on the classy St James’s crowds. The design boasts dark brown woods, dramatic mirrors, framed photographs, and a classic clock. Let’s hope that the Dubai venue manages to replicate this same classic charm.
