Located in Dar Wasl, the Japanese restaurant is great for groups.

It’s time to say hello to a new Japanese restaurant. Konnichiwa has opened in Canal House on Al Wasl Road, Dubai, and is currently in the soft opening phase. The concept aims to bring together tradition and innovation, and here’s what to expect.

Konnichiwa in Dubai’s menu is superb for sharing and features Japanese-inspired dishes. The restaurant overlooks Al Wasl Road and is located in Canal House overlooking the Dubai Water Canal, and guests can choose from indoor or outdoor seating.

Konnichiwa in Dubai boasts a clean and contemporary design. On the wall, there are minimalist artworks and the restaurant’s name lit up in lights. The colour palette spans neutral tones with brown wooden tables, grey seats, and white walls punctuated by potted plants. Look out for the indoor cherry blossom trees, which add a splash of colour.

The new concept will be able to count a range of restaurants as its neighbours. Al Wasl Road is also home to Forever Rose Café, which was created by the entrepreneur and Dubai Bling star, Ebraheem Al Samadi. Plus, Saddle Café, SAVVA and SHE Burger.

Konnichiwa is not the only new Japanese restaurant to be opening in Dubai. Akabeko is scheduled to open in May, and will be located on Palm West Beach. The restaurant specialises in a yakiniku experience, which translates to grilled cooking. Plus, it takes a nose-to-tail approach to its menu, which means every part of the animal is used.

Konnichiwa in Dubai is open daily from 6pm to 2am.
