The British institution is opening in DIFC.
Scott’s has made a name for itself in London. The long-running restaurant, famous for its spectacular seafood, is located in Mayfair and Richmond. Now, it will be expanding and opening Scott’s Dubai. The opening date has not yet been confirmed, but here’s what we do know.
Caprice Holdings is behind the expansion of Scott’s from London to Dubai. The group has already bought Sexy Fish from London to Dubai. Its London restaurant list includes 34 Mayfair, Balthazar and J. Sheekey.
Scott’s Dubai will be located in DIFC, and the hoarding is up to announce its arrival. The restaurant will boast some fine dining neighbours, which range from Babylon to Zuma.
The original restaurant in London boasts a hospitality heritage. In 1851, the fishmonger John Scott started the concept as an oyster warehouse. The brand evolved into Scott’s Oyster Rooms, a seafood restaurant. In 1967, it moved to Mount Street, Mayfair, and is famous for its fine-dining British fish and shellfish dishes and A-list clientele. In 2023, Scott’s Riyadh opened in Via Riyadh, which marked its first opening in the Middle East.
The restaurant brings to life an old-school British style and sensibility. While we don’t yet know the full menu of Scott’s in Dubai, if the existing menus are anything to go by, diners are in for a treat, as the refined menu is an ode to seafood. The menu spans oysters, caviar, shellfish, raw, starters, mains, lobster, meat, sides and dessert.
Dubai’s restaurant scene is flourishing, with each new opening promising to bring a unique gastronomic experience to the city. From Mr Chow’s modern Chinese offerings to the soon-to-open Zuma Beachouse, there’s something for everyone.
