From Ayla Beach’s focus on Levantine cuisine to Mr Chow’s modern Chinese offerings, there’s something for everyone. And that’s just the beginning. African Queen
For those in search of a captivating blend of French and African cuisine, African Queen is destined to become a must-visit. This distinctive culinary haven, originally established in the South of France in 1969, has been delighting taste buds with delectable offerings like Artichoke with vinaigrette, Filet au Poivre, and Salade Nicoise. Now, guided by the culinary expertise of Chef Thierry Paludetto, African Queen extends its exquisite dining experience to the shores of J1 Beach. It promises an extraordinary gastronomic voyage centred on the fusion of French and African flavours, accompanied by exotic beverages, all within a casual yet elegantly chic atmosphere.

Bar des Prés
Bar des Prés brings together East Asian and French influences. Chef Cyril Lignac is at the helm, and is famous in France for his restaurant Le Quinzieme, and his TV shows on channel M6. The Bar des Prés brand can already be found in London and Paris. Dishes include Green Asparagus with caramelised miso, Crunchy Crab and Avocado galette with madras, and Native Lobster Salad. Plus, the desserts pay homage to the chef’s time as a pastry chef.

Duck & Waffle Dubai
Located in DIFC, Duck & Waffle Dubai will offer views of the Burj Khalifa, rivalling the skyline views that the London outpost is famous for. This venue will feature a central radiant dome, a dining space designed like a greenhouse, featuring a covered pergola, an open kitchen and a 360-degree, walk-around “chef’s bar”. The menu will feature items like Foie Gras Crème Brûlée, Spicy Ox Cheek Doughnut, and Whole Roasted Chicken, but the Duck & Waffle dish remains its signature. This dish features a hearty combination of crispy duck leg confit, fried duck egg, and mustard maple syrup. Complementing the food, a selection of curated cocktails will also be available.

Frou Frou
A touch of Paris is coming to Dubai. The French restaurant Frou Frou is making its way to The Lana – Dorchester Collection. Developed by Bulldozer Group, Frou Frou Dubai aims to bring the joie de vivre of Paris in the early 20th century to the Middle East. The name refers to something showy or fancy, especially a female dress. Frou Frou Dubai prides itself on offering a vanguardist take on French classics. Guests can expect a chic, contemporary space with a lush oasis, and a rich blend of colours, textures and ornaments. Chef Leonid Ivanov will be at the helm of the new restaurant. He is a connoisseur of Mediterranean and French cuisine and brings a wealth of knowledge from his time in France. The menu will reinterpret French cuisine in a modern way and be designed for local tastes.

Gatsby
The upcoming dinner show concept Gatsby Barcelona’s motto is “A little party never killed nobody.” This Spanish restaurant, set to launch this year at Palm Jumeirah, offers a luxurious dinner show where the dining experience is a blend of avant-garde and cosmopolitan styles. The menu combines contemporary cuisine with Spanish classics, expertly crafted cocktails and wine pairings.

Harummanis
Acclaimed chef Akmal Anuar is introducing Harummanis to Dubai. Located on Al Wasl Road, this restaurant will shine a spotlight on Singaporean Malay cuisine. The menu promises to be a mix of traditional dishes with a contemporary twist. While more modern dishes feature the likes of Beef Cheeks Rendang, cooked in coconut stew and Ketoprak, an Indonesian salad reimagined with a Japanese twist. Akmal Anuar’s mother’s dishes, such as sambal, also grace the menu. Harummanis takes inspiration from Akmal Anuar’s childhood including the name, which is a beloved mango in Malay culture.

Il Gattopardo, inspired by the novel The Leopard, draws inspiration from Milan and Venice. Chef Massimo Pasquarelli, who was born and raised in Abruzzo, Southern Italy, will be at the helm. The menu showcases Italian classics with a modern twist. Dishes range from Sicilian Mazara Prawns to Stracciatella Agnolotti. Whether you’re after a long lunch or a late-night spot, it offers a day-to-night experience. The entertainment will include resident DJs.

INÁ
Dubai’s dining scene is heating up. INÁ, which means fire and flame in Nigerian Yoruba, is coming to the city. The African-inspired restaurant will go from dining to dancing, and host a lively party scene. So, if you’re looking for a night out with a difference, here’s what you need to know. At the heart of the restaurant is open-fire cooking. The concept aims to showcase African hospitality and the values of warmth and unity. The menu will bring together diverse flavours and the cultural richness of the continent. The concept comes to Dubai from Chef Izu Ani and Evgeny Kuzin, the dynamic duo behind the FACT Award-winning GAIA.

Jou Jou Brasserie

Le Relais De L’Entrecôte
Located in The Opus by Omniyat in Business Bay, Le Relais De L’Entrecôte brings the best of French cuisine. With interiors reflecting its Parisian counterpart, you can expect large mirrors, vintage posters and a heavy influence of red. The star of the show however will remain the food, especially the beloved steak frites. Le Relais De L’Entrecôte believes in the concept of less is more, which means you won’t have an endless selection to overwhelm you. Similar to its Paris outpost, the Dubai branch is expected to offer a set course menu. This will consist of a Green Walnut Salad, along with an extra-tender Sirloin Steak served with their secret sauce and the fries. It’s this winning combo that has kept diners coming back for more.

Maison Dali
Culinary Arts Group’s director, Tristin Farmer, is no stranger to the region. He was previously the Chef Patron at Marina Social in Dubai and worked at the three-Michelin-starred restaurant Zen in Singapore. Now, he has confirmed that he will return to Dubai with his own restaurant. Drawing its name from the Spanish artist Salvador Dali, Maison Dali in The Opus by Omniyat will showcase food from the Basque country.

Meat The Fish
Beirut’s Meat the Fish will make its Dubai debut at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab in September. The casual concept known for its menu of seasonal-inspired MediterrAsian dishes can be found in Lebanon and London. Founded in 2012 to meet the growing needs of private clients, Meat the Fish began as a premium provider of meat and fish for home delivery. This focus on quality soon blossomed into a full-fledged restaurant, bringing Mediterranean-Asian fusion cuisine to diners. When it comes to the menu, diners can expect an exploration of Mediterranean and Asian flavours. Spanning breakfast, lunch and dinner, the signature dishes include Beef Baos, Black Cod Donburi, Grilled Octopus, Poke Bowls, and Whipped Feta.

MiMi Mei Fair Dubai
Although an opening date has yet to be officially announced, FACT has been told to expect the Dubai outpost of MiMi Mei Fair to open in late 2023/early 2024 on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Blvd in Downtown Dubai. Judging by the London menu, we expect MiMi Mei Fair in Dubai to feature the restaurant’s signature Apple Wood-Fired Roasted Peking Duck, Wagyu Black Pepper Beef Baked Puff, Peking Duck Bao, Crispy Mandarin Beef and tempting dim sum selections. Ninive Beach
Ninive Beach aims to blend together cultural heritage with contemporary elegance. The concept from RIKAS Hospitality Group can already be found in Dubai at Jumeirah Emirates Towers and Bab Al Shams Desert Resort. The Jumeirah Emirates Towers venue is inspired by a majlis and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, while the Bab Al Shams Desert Resort venue is located in the depths of the desert. The menu combines flavours from across the Middle East and North Africa. Diners can expect influences from Iran, Iraq, Morocco and Turkey.

Revolver
Dubai is home to innovative Indian restaurants, from homegrown brands to MICHELIN-starred marvels. Now, Singapore’s Revolver Restaurant is making its way to The Opus by Omniyat. Revolver’s name is a play on the word, and reflects how the concept revolves around the charcoal grill, brazier and tandoor. At the original restaurant in Singapore, there are three tasting menus and a vegetarian menu. The dishes draw inspiration from different regions of India. What makes the experience stand out is the charcoal twist and smoky flavours. Highlight dishes include Barramundi with Mango Dust, Charred Fennel, Kulchette Butter Chicken with Parmesan and Truffled Burrata.

Sexy Fish Dubai
Between its resident DJs, opulent interiors, artworks by the likes of Damien Hirst and Frank Gehry, and a diverse menu inspired by the seas of Asia, Sexy Fish has won rave reviews since its London debut in 2015. The trendy restaurant and bar currently runs three restaurants – one in London, one in Manchester and another in Miami – and is gearing up for its new venue in Dubai. We’re hoping the Dubai outpost will retain the signature dishes of the original Sexy Fish, such as duck salad, vegetarian sushi, smoked tuna belly, crispy eringi mushroom, black cod, and king crab, with the addition of new dishes and seasonally inspired flavours.

Sirene by Gaia
Conceived by Evgeny Kuzin and Chef Izu Ani, Sirene Beach by Gaia invites you to indulge in a relaxed coastal experience right in the heart of Dubai. This culinary haven whisks guests away to a scenic beachside setting, capturing the essence of a Greek summer with its genuine Mediterranean flavours from Greece.

Tang Dubai
The Cantonese meets Japanese concept Tang is opening in Downtown Dubai, and it will boast views of the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountains. Tang can originally be found in Cape Town and Johannesburg in South Africa. The name refers to the Tang dynasty, which placed an importance on the senses, creativity and taste. Entrepreneur Nicky van der Walt is behind Miramar Collection, which includes Tang Sandton and Tang Waterfront. Opening inside Palace Downtown, we’re hoping that the Dubai menu reflects the South African menu. Group Executive Chef Vixa Kalenga’s original menu draws its inspiration from contemporary Japanese cuisine and Hong Kong’s Cantonese food.

Three Bros Bistro
Orfali Bros has been hitting the headlines and winning awards for its creative cuisine. Now, the three brothers from Syria are creating a new concept, Three Bros Bistro. The restaurant is behind the same team that created Orfali Bros and if the original concept is anything to go by, the UAE’s food fans and restaurant critics are in for a culinary treat. The restaurant will be located in Wasl 51 in Dubai, which is also the location of the original restaurant. The name, Three Bros Bistro, suggests that the family will be at the heart of the restaurant and that it will bring to life bistro vibes. The original concept was created by the brothers, Mohammad, Wassim and Omar Orfali.

Besar
Besar is bringing Spanish fusion food to Dubai. The new restaurant is heading to Bluewaters Dubai, and although the opening date has not yet been confirmed, here’s what we do know. The restaurant has unveiled a range of photos that offer a teaser of what to expect, which include images of the food, drink and interiors. The shots show a sultry setting with terracotta and red tones, alongside beiges and browns. In Spanish, besar means kiss.

China Tang Dubai
Like its counterpart at The Dorchester Hotel in London, a branch of the upmarket Cantonese restaurant China Tang will open at The Lana, Dorchester Collection this summer. Established by businessman, philanthropist, and socialite Sir David Tang, the restaurant has earned a well-deserved reputation for stellar service and exquisite presentation of traditional Chinese dishes. From the tempting Dim Sum offerings to signature dishes like the succulent Char Siu, Ma Po Tofu, Yu Xiang Aubergine, and the perfectly bronzed Peking Duck, the China Tang menu showcases centuries of perfected recipes and celebrates the artistry of Chinese cuisine.

Chotto Matte
Opening its doors in early 2025, Chotto Matte will find a home at The Ritz-Carlton, DIFC. This addition promises to bring the best of Nikkei cuisine – a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian flavours – to Dubai. Based on its offerings in other cities, you can expect the likes of sushi, raw plates, and robata grill. These will include favourites such as Jumbo Prawn Tempura, Wagyu Beef Gyoza, Black Cod Aji Miso and much more. Desert lovers are in for a treat as well, with Matcha Crepe Cake, Mochi Ice Cream, and more items on the menu.

Crazy Horse Dubai
Dubai, a new sultry show is coming to the city. Crazy Horse from Paris will be making its debut in the region. Bringing together dance, music and a whole lot of fun. Crazy Horse in Paris has a long history, which is more than 70 years old. The original venue has welcomed a range of famous performers, which ranged from Dita Von Teese to Carmen Electra. Visitors can expect acrobats, live music and entertainment. While the location for Crazy Horse in Dubai has not yet been confirmed, it has opened across the world. Today, the signature show is Totally Crazy!, which brings together 90 minutes of fun and fantasy. The show opens with dancers in British-inspired royal guard uniforms, as they dance to a take of the British national anthem.

Cyrano
Cyrano is a charming eatery that has travelled from the bustling streets of Gemmayze in Beirut to Dubai World Trade Centre. Offering a laid-back atmosphere, this casual all-day restaurant transforms from a wholesome brunch spot to a stylish cocktail bar by night. Its menu features a range of hearty and wholesome dishes, perfect for any time of day.

Gerbou
Gerbou, which translates to welcome, is opening in the city and has sustainability at its heart. Gerbou has been designed by award-winning interior designers, Kristina Zanic Consultants, and the Dubai-based art gallery, Tashkeel Studio. The team have released renders of the new venue, and it looks like a sleek spot. Spanning indoor and outdoor spaces, the décor looks set to be Arabic chic.

Hamamoto
Culinary Arts Group will launch Singapore’s Revolver in Dubai later this year and then follow it up with the Michelin-starred sushi-kappo restaurant Hamamoto. From the delicate artistry of sushi to the savoury delights of kaiseki, the restaurant showcases the finest seasonal ingredients sourced directly from Japan. In Singapore, the restaurant features a single hinoki counter, allowing diners to witness the chef’s meticulous preparation and engage in personal conversations.

Jondal Dubai
Dubai is home to a range of restaurants, from Michelin-starred venues to celebrity chefs. Now, 111 Management is bringing a new concept to the city. Jondal can already be found in Ibiza, Spain, and the restaurant specialises in seafood. Chef Rafael Zafra is at the helm of the restaurant. He was born in Seville and first started working in restaurants when he was 16 years old. Jondal in Ibiza’s menu is divided up into from the sea, specials from the sea, caviar specials, meat and sides. Specials include Mediterranean Sea Cucumber with noisette, Sting Raw with pickles and fresh herbs, and Whole Octopus A La Gallega. Meats include Cured Rubia Gallega, Grilled Suckling Lamb Chops, and Wagyu Carpaccio with foie and parmesan.

LAVITA Beach Club is set to become the ultimate destination for sun-soaked days and lively nights at One Palm Jumeirah Dorchester Collection. The concept draws its inspiration from Italy’s glamorous coastal lifestyle and will host live music and entertainment, from a range of performers to international acts. La Vita comes from the team behind the FACT Award-winning Chic Nonna and L’Amo Bistro del Mare.

Mr Chow
A-listers including Adele, Bella Hadid and Justin Bieber have been spotted at Mr Chow. With restaurants across the world, from Beverly Hills to Riyadh. Mr Chow Dubai will be located in the Dubai International Financial District (DIFC), taking over the space previously occupied by the Indochine. The opening has been created in partnership with Saudi hospitality firm, MJS Holding, marking the group’s first restaurant opening outside of the Kingdom. The Mr Chow Dubai menu will likely include all the Mr Chow signatures, such as the Chicken Satay, Green Prawns, Peking Duck and handmade noodles. Guests will also be able to watch the Insta-worthy hand-pulled noodle show.

Get ready for the ultimate Japanese dining experience as chef Nic Watt, co-founder of the acclaimed ROKA, brings Shoku to Dubai. Sobremesa
Sobremesa is opening in Souk Al Bahar, serving Spanish cuisine and cocktails. Sobremesa translates literally to upon the table. The idea comes from the Spanish tradition of relaxing after a meal, and letting the conversation (and cocktails) flow freely. So, instead of being turned away once you’ve finished your food, you’ll be encouraged to stay. Sobremesa’s food menu draws inspiration from Mexican and Spanish recipes. The drink’s menu has been created in partnership with El Copitas Bar, which is a bar in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The Mexican bar is known for its collection of spirits and creative cocktails. For five years in a row, it has featured on the World’s 50 Best Bars list. To add to the atmosphere, in the evening, there will be live music inspired by mariachi bands and carnivals.

Suelo
The taste of Spain is coming to the UAE. The new restaurant Suelo will open in Dubai and aims to bring fine flavours to the city. The restaurant can already be found in Paris, France, and has a firm following of foodies. The concept showcases dishes from the Mediterranean and places an emphasis on Spanish cuisine. While the Suelo Dubai menu has not yet been unveiled, the original menu spans starters, salads, signature dishes, sides and desserts. Signature dishes include a Seared Red Mullet Fillet, Piquillo Peppers with tuna, and Wagyu Bikini. Plus, the desserts include Basque Cheesecake, Chocolate Fondant, and Churros with salted butter and caramel sauce.

Carbone
New York’s Carbone is set to open its doors in Dubai at Atlantis The Royal in early 2025. The celebrity favourite will take over the space formally occupied by Resonance by Heston Blumenthal on the ground floor of the beachfront hotel. While the specific menu for the Dubai outpost hasn’t been revealed, fans can definitely look forward to indulging in Carbone’s signature Spicy Rigatoni. Other favourites such as Chicken Scarpariello, Linguini Vongole, Seafood Salad, and Veal Parmesan are also expected to grace the menu along with more of the American-Italian cuisine that has made Carbone so famous.

Hanu
South Korean culture is taking over the globe, from K-pop bands to Oscar-worthy films. Now, a new Korean restaurant is heading to Dubai. Located at St. Regis Gardens on Palm Jumeirah, Hanu will be serving contemporary Korean cuisine. Hanu’s interiors feature dark walnut wood, intricate wooden carvings, antique Korean furniture and Korean masks. The venue is anchored around a magnificent Korean pine tree, seating 13 guests in a visually stunning setting. The main dining room accommodates 58, while a private dining room offers a more intimate experience. At Hanu’s helm is Chef Kyung Soo Moon, a South Korean native from Seoul with over 24 years of global experience. He is renowned for his work at establishments such as Attiko and SUSHISAMBA. HANU’s menu is an ode to Korean culinary artistry, spotlighting premium ingredients through signature dishes like Korean Beef Tartare with Raw Red Prawns, Crispy Bulgogi, Beef Tartelette, and Kimbap hand rolls.

Opening in early 2025, Kira at Marsa Al Arab is unusual in its offering, as it is a celebration of Japanese and Mediterranean cuisine. Located at Vida Creek Harbour Hotel, Kiyoshi is a restaurant and bar serving Japanese specials. Are you feeling lucky? Dubai is set to welcome a touch of Monte Carlo, courtesy of Monte-Carlo Club 1863. Opening in autumn 2025, the restaurant showcases the city state’s cuisine, and here’s what to expect. Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer is behind the expansion of Monte-Carlo Club 1863. Rowley’s
Restaurants have long been making their way between the United Kingdom and UAE. Now, London’s spectacular steakhouse, Rowley’s, is set to expand to Dubai. While the location and opening date have not yet been confirmed, here’s what we do know. The concept showcases steaks that are dry aged and grass fed, and traditional British food. Today’s menu spans bites, starters, house specials, mains sides, sauces and desserts. The signature dish is the Entrecôte Steak, which is served with the restaurant’s secret herb, Roquefort and butter sauce. The original venue boasts an old-world charm and boasts dark brown woods, dramatic mirrors, framed photographs and a classic clock.

Scott’s Dubai
Scott’s has made a name for itself in London. The long-running restaurant, famous for its spectacular seafood, is located in Mayfair and Richmond. Now, it will be expanding and opening between Babylon and Zuma in DIFC. In 1851, the concept started as an oyster warehouse by the fishmonger, John Scott. The brand evolved into Scott’s Oyster Rooms and a seafood restaurant. In 1967, it moved to Mount Street, Mayfair, and is famous for its fine-dining British fish and shellfish dishes and A-list clientele.

Tattu Dubai
Dubai is a magnet for international restaurants, from celebrity chefs to big brands. Now, it is set to welcome Tattu from London, which will be opening inside the world’s tallest hotel: Ciel Tower. If Tattu’s London menu is anything to go by, visitors are in for a tasty treat. The menu spans starters, mains and desserts. Starters include Sugar Salt Crispy Squid, Truffle Shiitake Bao Bun, and Wagyu Beef Dumpling. Mains include Balsamic Teriyaki Salmon, Kung Po Tofu and Wok Fried Angry Bird. Desserts range from Asian Pear Sticky Toffee Puddy to Yuzu Lemon Drop.

Zuma Dubai Beachhouse
Opening its doors in 2025 in La Mer, Zuma Dubai Beachhouse will mark the brand’s third outpost in the UAE. Located adjacent to the Gran Melia Dubai, there’s no doubt that Zuma Dubai Beachhouse will be a buzzing lifestyle hub for those seeking some downtime in the city. With a resident DJ on the deck and comfy day beds by the pool, this venue will also boast a lounge and a bar, along with a 140-metre-long beachfront with views of the Arabian Gulf. As expected, no Zuma experience is complete without some food, so prepare to be treated to an izakaya menu at this coastal location. Zuma Dubai Beachhouse will be open for lunch and pool bookings every single day.
