Currently located in Sharjah, the restaurant is a pomegranate paradise.

In the diverse food landscape of the UAE, which features everything from fine dining to homegrown restaurants, cosy hideaway concepts hold a special charm. And while the country boasts many of these, a new one has just opened doors in Sharjah, called Ruman.

Located in Al Rafisah Dam in Khorfakkan, Sharjah, Ruman offers a great menu and even greater views with views of the waters and the scenic mountains. Ruman, which translates to pomegranate, promises an ambience that’s as tasteful as its namesake fruit.

The interior of Ruman is adorned with hues of rich red, with a muted pomegranate-coloured wall adorned with artwork. Beige wooden furnishings with rattan details complement marble tabletops, creating a serene dining environment, whilst a collection of striking red metal chain chandeliers add a statement to the decor.

The menu at Ruman also features dishes that celebrate the pomegranate in various forms. Highlights include the Rocca Beetroot Salad, Umm Ali Dessert, and the savoury Beef Shawarma Rice, all infused with the fruit’s rich flavours and colours. Complementing the food is an array of hot and cold beverages, available from lunch until dinner and beyond.

When you dine at Ruman, you not only get to enjoy the food and the views, but you can also choose to kayak in the dam. This touch elevates your dining experience to a whole new level.

While Ruman has just begun its journey in Khorfakkan, it’s already gearing up for expansion. It’s expected to open in Al Ain and Dubai in the near future. And while details of the new locations are still under wraps, stay tuned at FACT for all the details.
