From Denmark to Dubai, Chef Reif Othman is back with a brand new menu.
Chef Reif Othman’s intimate chef’s table experience, TERO (The Experience by Reif Othman) was awarded the ‘Best Newcomer’ award at the FACT Dining Awards Dubai in 2023. Now, the intimate eatery is preparing for its grand reopening on Wednesday, 2 October. And this time, it’s serving up some serious Scandinavian inspiration.
After a successful pop-up in Copenhagen, Denmark, Chef Reif is returning to Dubai with a brand-new menu that promises to showcase the best of modern Korean cuisine using Nordic ingredients. Chef Reif helmed MODU, a contemporary Korean pop-up at Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen over the summer, where he discovered the beauty of local Danish ingredients and how effortlessly they paired with the flavours of Korean cuisine.
Lo and behold, he decided to bring this to Dubai for his next intimate dining experience. So expect Danish seafood to take centre stage at TERO this season, featuring the likes of langoustine mandu (Korean dumplings), Japchae (sweet potato noodles) with shellfish cream and fjord shrimp, and even persimmon kimchi.
For those unversed with TERO, the restaurant is accessed through a concealed entrance within the Reif Japanese Kushiyaki kitchen in Dubai Hills Business Park. The experience – which reopens on Chef Reif’s birthday – blends culinary creativity with an intimate and immersive experience. The 12-seater chef’s table is akin to stepping into Reif’s private kitchen, where diners can watch the magic unfold right before their eyes. Past menus have drawn inspiration from Japanese cherry blossom season and Golden Week, and now, the latest chapter takes some Scandi inspiration.
So if you’re looking to try Danish seafood, Korean flavours, or a blend of both, TERO is one meal you won’t want to miss.
Reservations are now open.
