The Knafeh Bakery is trending, thanks to some funky dance routines.

The Bearded Bakers are multitalented – they don’t just know how to bake, but they can also bust a move. The Australian group are bringing their signature food and moves to Dubai with the new pop-up, The Knafeh Bakery. So, if you want to get your floss on during and after your meal, here’s what you need to know.

The Knafeh Bakery pop-up is located on the rooftop of Keturah Reserve in Meydan, and boasts views of the Dubai Skyline. As the name suggests, it’s all about the Middle Eastern classic dessert, kunafa. The chefs have put their own spin on kunafa: the dessert is made with sweet cheese and semolina pudding, then torched and topped with pistachio and sugar syrup.

In 2014, The Bearded Bakers launched in Australia. The family business was created by Ameer El-Issa with his brother Joey and sister Mouna. The family have Palestinian roots, and pay homage to the food. Not only are the group famous for their kunafa, but their dramatic dining experiences – we’re talking dancing on tabletops.

The Bearded Bakers have created pop-ups across the world including Melbourne, Sydney and New York. The group shared on Instagram: “When we create, we really don’t know where the journey can take us. When we create, we build on good values. Inspired by our culture and explored with creativity, we continue to create experiences around the world. What an honour to now be welcomed by the UAE for an experience of a lifetime”.

The Knafeh Bakery runs from Thursday to Sunday from 8pm to 1am. Dabbing is optional.
