The Parisian restaurant is making its debut in the Middle East.
A touch of Paris is coming to Dubai. The French restaurant Frou Frou is making its way to The Lana Promenade at The Lana – Dorchester Collection. Scheduled to open in September, here’s what to expect.
Developed by Bulldozer Group, Frou Frou Dubai aims to bring the joie de vivre of Paris in the early 20th century to the Middle East. The name refers to something showy or fancy, especially a female dress. This marks the third opening of the brand, and another is set to open in Marbella, Spain.
Frou Frou Dubai prides itself on offering a vanguardist take on French classics. Guests can expect a chic, contemporary space with a lush oasis, and a rich blend of colours, textures and ornaments.
Chef Leonid Ivanov will be at the helm of the new restaurant. He is a connoisseur of Mediterranean and French cuisine and brings a wealth of knowledge from his time in France. The menu will reinterpret French cuisine in a modern way and be designed for local tastes.
The Lana, Dorchester Collection is home to several dining concepts, four of which have been created with the three celebrated chefs. Jean Imbert is behind the modern Mediterranean restaurant Riviera, and Martín Berasategui is behind the Basque restaurant, Jara. Angelo Musa is behind the Parisian restaurant Bonbon Café. The soon-to-be-revealed Lana Promenade will also be home to China Tang from The Dorchester in London and Dragonfly, a Pan Asian restaurant from MICHELIN Guide-selected chef Reif Othman.
