Located in DIFC, the rooftop restaurant and bars boast brilliant Burj Khalifa views.
Dubai is getting a new dining destination. The Slice, located in DIFC, opens today and will feature three culinary concepts: Rowley’s, Tapline, and The Ledge.
The Slice was created by entrepreneur Tom Muir, Grupo Anderson’s, and restaurant operator Daniel Petermann. The venue boasts beautiful views of the Burj Khalifa and welcomes three cool concepts. Ahead of the opening, FACT had a look inside the terrific trifecta of spaces.
The original Rowley’s restaurant can be found in Jermyn Street, London. Now, it will be making its debut in Dubai. In 1976, Rowley’s opened its restaurants and gained a reputation for its steaks. The signature mono-dish experience features a simple offering designed for steak lovers – steak, salad, fries, and sauce. The offering with unlimited fries is priced at AED 138. Plus, a cake of the day is available for dessert.
The debonaire dining room boasts wooden flooring, floor-to-ceiling windows and a central clock that takes pride of place high above diners’ heads. A charming fox mascot can be found throughout the venue, from the staff uniforms and merch to the table clothes, upon which you scrawl your name and cooking temperature for a bit of interactive fun.

The Ledge is a rooftop spot with views of the Dubai skyline. It spans more than 3,500 square feet and is great for after-work drinks. Opening next week, it can also be hired for celebrations and corporate events. Located beneath The Ledge, Tap Line is the first of its kind in DIFC. The bar offers ten cocktails on tap, including Mojitos, Negronis, Palomas and Pina Coladas. Plus, a mixologist is on hand to serve classic cocktails.

Thomas Muir, Founder and CEO of The Slice, explained: “I am very proud that our first standalone hospitality venture in Dubai is a new destination incorporating three exciting venues. Rowley’s is a steakhouse I have loved and enjoyed over the many years I have lived in London, and we are pleased to be bringing it to Dubai.
“The Ledge will become a popular DIFC hotspot, with guests finishing their workdays and relaxing on a rooftop terrace with the backdrop of the Burj Khalifa. Tap Line is a cocktail bar serving the best cocktails on tap at an affordable price, which we believe will resonate with guests.”
