Famed for its brilliant breakfasts, the restaurant is expanding across the world.
The Wolseley is one of London’s most iconic restaurants. Located on Piccadilly, it is famous for its excellent service, grand dining room and brilliant breakfast. Now, it will be expanding to Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and here’s what to expect.
The Wolseley was opened in 2003 by Chris Corbin and Jeremy King. The dining duo were behind hospitality hits, which ranged from Brasserie Zedel to The Delaunay. In 2022, Corbin & King were taken over by the Minor Hotel Group. The business was rebranded as The Wolseley Hospitality Group, which includes the existing establishments, and the new restaurant, Manzi’s in Soho.
Dilip Rajakarier, the new owner of The Wolseley, is behind the expansion plans. He plans to take the restaurant to Saudi Arabia, the UAE and beyond. The new sites include Hong Kong, New York, Shanghai and Singapore. The Saudi Arabia location has not yet been confirmed, but we know that it will open in Dubai.
The Wolseley’s original restaurant is located in a Grade II listed building. The concept oozes an old school charm, as you are welcomed by doormen in top hats and served by waiters in waistcoats.
If the original menu at The Wolseley is anything to go by, we are in for a treat. The European restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The cold breakfast menu includes cereals, fruit and viennoiserie. The hot breakfast menu includes Bagel with Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese, French Toast and Mashed Avocado with Confit Tomato. Plus, The English is a classic and comes with fried, poached or scrambled eggs, baked beans, tomato, black pudding and mushroom.
We’re excited.
