Can the UAE-born brand revamp Dubai Creek?
How often do you hang out at Dubai Creek? If the answer is rarely, then we suggest visiting Address Grand Creek Harbour. The new hotel will change your thoughts about the area, and keep you coming back for more.
Emaar Hospitality is behind the prestigious hotel group, Address Hotels + Resorts. Address Grand Creek Harbour is part of a $2.04 billion development project to transform the area. The property opened in December 2022 and marks the brand’s twelfth hotel in the UAE.
As we drove up to Address Grand Creek Harbour, we were struck by how close it was to the city, but far away from the chaos. The sound of supercars was exchanged for the sea. Note: the hotel is a 20-minute drive to DIFC, and a 10-minute drive to Dubai International Airport.
Rooms and suites
Address Grand Creek Harbour is a five-star hotel, which spans two tall towers and includes 223 rooms, and 794 services apartments. The sleek supermodel of a building is eye-catching, and the interiors ooze the brand’s signature style. The lobby is luxe without being loud, and includes beautiful bouquets, magnificent marble floors and soft scents – Vetiver and Cedarwood, no less.
We were greeted by professional staff – they were one of the few hotels to spell my name correctly, as this is a persistent problem in hotels. We checked into the Premier Creek Room With Balcony, which boasted waterfront views.
Spanning 45 square metres, it included a king-sized bed, decadent dressing area and lots of light. Our only gripe was that the automated features were not intuitive, and we had to get a technician to fix the television.
The highlight was the big, beautiful bathroom. Not only did it have a spacious shower, but a tub facing the sea. So many hotels forget about the smaller details, but there were salts to enjoy a soak. Plus, don’t worry about forgetting your toothbrush, as there are high-quality Address-branded products, from dental to shaving kits.
Restaurants and bars
Address Grand Creek Harbour’s restaurants and bars include Mediterranean fusion food at Luma Pool Lounge; coffee and cakes at The Patisserie; and the signature concept, The Restaurant.
The Restaurant is located on the lobby level, and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Whenever we visited it was plush yet peaceful, as there were few guests. Diners can choose to sit indoors or outdoors, and both spots offer stunning views of the Dubai skyline.
Breakfast includes a generous spread of local as well as international dishes, pretty pastries and fresh fruit. Dishes range from Avocado and Toast to Eggs Benedict, and an Asian Breakfast to Indian Breakfast. Plus, we loved that all dishes were served with hash potato, mushrooms, tomatoes, sausages and bacon.
The dinner menu covers salads, starters, soup, seafood, meat and pasta. The standout dish was the Lobster Salad with cheese, onion, radish, tomatoes and onion, and a truffle dishing that bought all of the flavours together.
Don’t leave without checking out Luma Pool Lounge. Located on the third floor, it has Insta-worthy views – a silhouette of the Burj Khalifa, anyone? The poolside spot is perfect for a casual bite and cocktails.
Facilities
Address Grand Creek Harbour’s facilities include a state-of-the-art fitness centre, yoga studio and wellness centre. The spa includes a couples suite with jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and Gharieni treatment bed. The massage at The Spa was oh-so serene – and it topped off the stay in spectacular style.
