Step back in time. The new bar 1920 has opened in ICD Brookfield Place, DIFC. Located on the 52nd floor, it brings to life the glitz and glamour of the Roaring Twenties.
1920 is a cocktail bar that showcases vintage elegance. It has been created by the hospitality group, D.ream, which is also behind the hospitality hits Amazónico, COYA and Zuma. Chef Cyril Lignac is behind the new bar as well as the new restaurants Bar des Prés and Il Gattopardo, which are also located in ICD Brookfield Place.
Located on the 52nd floor, 1920 has been designed by the artist and interior designer, Lázaro Rosa-Violán. Spanning 8,500 square feet, the space boasts Art Deco features, which are inspired by New York’s skyscrapers.
At the heart of 1920 is its beautiful bar, which includes an Italian mural that stretches along the counter. The space includes booths as well as seats that overlook the Insta-worthy, panoramic views of the city and the Burj Khalifa. Plus, the venue will also host live performances and vinyl DJ sets.
The drinks menu has been carefully curated. In the spirit of celebrating, it includes Champagnes by the glass, from NV Ruinart Blanc de Blancs to 2013 Dom Pérignon Brut.
The drinks menu includes a range of classic as well as signature cocktails. The Casa Casoni comes with Tanqueray Export Gin, Cocchi di Torino Vermouth, Campari, Cynar, olives and caperberry. The Plume comes with Casamigos Blanco Tequila, lemon, grapefruit and coconut. The Gatsby is inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic character. Plus, the food menu includes the Alaskan King Crab Tartlets, Truffle Croque Monsieur and Oyster Rockefeller.
1920 is open from Monday to Sunday from 5.30pm to 3am.
