The FACT award-winning venue welcomes the Afrobeat star.

There are many reasons to visit the FACT award-winning Soul Kitchen. Located in Business Bay, the restaurant and bar is popular for fusion food and live music. Now, it is set to welcome the British Nigerian musician Dele Sosimi as he makes his debut in Dubai. Dele Sosimi in Dubai takes place on 2 December, and tickets are available now.

Dele is famous for his role in the Afrobeat music scene. In 1979, he began his career with Fela Kuti’s Egypt 80 band, and was influential in the genre’s development. His signature sound blends together funk, jazz and traditional African sounds. His songs include E Go Betta, Too Much Information and You No Fit Touch Am.

Dele explained: “We are beyond excited to perform in Dubai for the first time “Afrobeat is a music that carries spirit, soul, and rhythm, and I can’t wait to share this energy with the audience at Soul Kitchen. Let’s come together for a night of unity, culture, and powerful music.”

Wassim Bou Malham, Founding Partner at Factory People, added: “Having Dele Sosimi perform at Soul Kitchen is truly an honour. His music and legacy embody the spirit of innovation and cultural richness that we strive to celebrate at Soul Kitchen. We’re proud to bring an artist of his calibre to Dubai for a night that will undoubtedly be one for the books.”

Soul Kitchen has been designed as a social space anchored around a food and drinks menu that fuses Levantine and Latin American flavours, accenting the culinary offerings with elements of alternative culture, art, and talent from the region. Signature dishes such as signature dishes such as Burrata with Tequila Infused Peaches and Crispy Shawarma Empanadas highlight the longstanding exchange between both cultures.

Tickets to see Dele Sosimi in Dubai start from AED 370 AED and include entry and light bites.
