Soul spot Aretha opens at St. Regis Gardens in Dubai
Located on Palm Jumeirah, it is inspired by the Swinging Sixties.
A whole lot of soul is coming to The St. Regis Garden, Palm Jumeirah. The new restaurant, bar and lounge, Aretha, is now open in Dubai. The live music venue is inspired by the Swinging Sixties, soulful seventies and the singing sensation Aretha Franklin.
Rikas Hospitality Group is behind Aretha. The concept brings together blues, funk and soul music and showcases local as well as international talent. The shows pay tribute to musical legends and aim to capture the spirit of the sixties and seventies. The venue boasts a retro-chic décor with a rose gold bar and central stage.
Aretha’s drinks menu includes signature cocktails, which are named after musical giants. The Aretha includes bourbon, homemade vanilla syrup, vanilla seeds and Angostura bitters. The Marlon includes vodka, fresh raspberry, lychee and rose lemonade. Plus, the food menu includes Dover Sole Meuniere, Grilled Rock Lobster and Wagyu Beef Rossini.
Gilles Bosquet, Rikas Hospitality’s Corporate Chef, explained: “Creating a menu that complements the surroundings and the live music showcase while presenting a culinary offering that matches the elegance RIKAS Group is synonymous with has been a fun challenge. Our menu showcases our interpretation of favourite dishes from around the world, ranging from delightful individual servings to shareable plates”.
RIKAS Hospitality Group’s Co-Founder, Rizwan Kassim, added: “It’s incredibly exciting to offer something truly sensational to the city. Surprisingly, there aren’t many venues in Dubai that cater to those who appreciate good food, good drinks, and great music. With Aretha, we aim to create a home; a place where music and food lovers will swoon over live jazz, soul and funk, craft cocktails, and quality cuisine that is as revered as the music on offer”.
Aretha at St. Regis Gardens is operated by the RIKAS Group, the team behind Dubai hospitality hits: La Cantine Du Faubourg, La Twiggy by La Cantine, Mimi Kakushi, and Tagomago.
