Get ready to sing for your supper, as REN has opened in Grand Plaza Mövenpick. Located in Media City, the new restaurant showcases modern nikkei cuisine, and includes a karaoke room. So, if you’re a fan of sushi, sashimi and singing, here’s what you need to know.
REN in Dubai’s food menu spans izakaya, starters, soups, salads, signature rolls, classic maki, nigiri, robata, main, sides and desserts. Izakaya bites include Crispy Calamari, Miso Eggplant and Salmon Arepa. Signature Rolls include the Akira Panayaki, Lobster Volcano and Tokyo Illusion.
The raw menu includes Sea Bass Ceviche, Tuna Tataki and Sake Sashimi. The robata menu includes Chicken Yakitori, Teriyaki Prawns and Wagyu Kushi. The mains include Grilled Wagyu Steak, Katsu Chicken and Miso Black Cod.
REN in Dubai’s drinks menu includes signature cocktails: De Mar with pisco, Hikari with Japanese whiskey, Oryza with mezcal, Prima with Japanese gin and Sora with sake. The drinks list includes sochu, spirits, umeshu, wines, and an extensive sake list. Plus, an artisan tea collection with Genmaicha, Milk Oolong and Sencha.
REN in Dubai boasts a sophisticated design with red seats, gold lighting features, curved staircase, and Japanese-inspired plants. Guests can take their pick from black round tables, which are great for groups, and the long bar area. The restaurant will also be home to a karaoke room. The experience has not yet opened, but it will be a private space away from the main restaurant.
