10 kilometres of pure fun await.

Calling all nature lovers. We’ve got news for you. Dubai Municipality has just unveiled a new hiking trail. Brace yourself for an exhilarating trek at Mushrif National Park.

Spanning approximately 10 kilometres, where adventure knows no bounds, Mushrif National Park will welcome all thrill-seekers on the new hiking trail from Tuesday, 20 June. And guess what? It’s going to be free throughout the year.

Never been hiking before? Not a problem because this one-of-a-kind trail caters to every kind of explorer – from first-time trekkers to seasoned pros. There is an 8.3km yellow recreational track, providing a safe and secure environment for enthusiasts to enjoy their hiking hobby. Additionally, there is a 1.4km orange sports track designed to challenge more experienced hikers and climbers.

Along the trail, you’ll discover artistic sculptures, enchanting wooden stairways, charming bridges, inviting slopes and cosy resting spots where you can catch your breath and take in the views. Friendly park staff will be stationed strategically along the way to ensure your safety and provide valuable guidance.

And as you get ready to plan for this epic journey – maybe during the Eid Al Adha holidays – Dubai Municipality has your back with essential guidelines. It advises trekkers to stay hydrated with ample water supplies, to wear suitable attire and sturdy footwear, and equip themselves with the necessary hiking tools. Young adventurers between 12 to 15 years old are also welcome to join the fun, however, they must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Hikers are encouraged to follow instructions mentioned on boards, yield to mountain bikers when crossing paths, walk in the designated direction, and stick to the designated track. It is also crucial to choose the appropriate track level, as the orange track is designed for skilled athletes with higher levels of fitness and endurance. Warming up before the hike is recommended to prevent injuries.

But wait, there’s more to Mushrif National Park. Dubai Municipality has already unveiled a mountain biker’s paradise, featuring skill-testing tracks and a mind-blowing 50km professionals’ route. From the green track for beginners to the blue track for daring intermediates and the red track for the masters of mountain biking, the park has it all.

With an exciting array of thrilling activities, Mushrif National Park beckons you to push your limits, embrace the unknown and create unforgettable moments in the heart of nature’s playground. So lace up your boots, answer the call of the wild and let the adventure begin.
