Located at Floté Cafe, the floating cinema can be found at Mangrove Beach, Umm Al Quwain.

Lights, camera, cinema. Grab the popcorn – and a blanket. Machia Vellii has launched a floating cinema at Floté. Situated in Mangrove Beach, Umm Al Quwain, it’s a chance to watch movies in a magical setting. So, if you’re looking for films and fun, here’s what you need to know.

Located approximately one hour outside of Dubai and two hours from Abu Dhabi, Floté’s floating cinema is a chilled, contemporary spot. Guests enter across a wooden walkway, which includes black and white photos of old films. We spotted Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck on a vespa in Roman Holiday.

Visitors can sit inside a modern boat while watching films projected. The boat includes seats, a table, and little lamps. Plus, the serene spot overlooks the sea and sunset, and offers direct access to the beach.

While you are watching films, you can refuel at Floté’s cafe. The menu includes hot and cold drinks, and decadent desserts. The servers will bring your bites to the boat – so you can just sit back and soak up the scenes. The venue also has seats on the sand and under the shade. Plus, there are magazine racks stacking old-school editions of Vogue
