The spa sets the standard when it comes to personalisation.
Personalised. The word is overused in the wellness industry. In reality, spas rarely offer a bespoke experience. At the newly opened One&Only One Za’abeel‘s Longevity Hub by Clinique La Prairie, however, we had one of the most tailormade treatments we have experienced. Created in Switzerland, the concept offers a holistic approach – and it’s a game-changer.
Launched in 1931 in Montreux, Switzerland, Longevity Hub by Clinique La Prairie has led the way in wellness. The focus is on preventative care so that, as the name suggests, people can live not just a longer life but a longer, healthier life. The pillars cover aesthetics, wellbeing, and, of course, longevity.
Today, it has centres around the world in Bangkok, Doha and Madrid. The One&Only brand is no stranger to the UAE and includes One&Only The Palm and One&Only Royal Mirage. Now, as One&Only One Za’abeel opens as the city’s first vertical resort, it has set the standard for wellness.
Cristian Fumado, Vice President of One Za’abeel, explained “The opening of the inaugural Longevity Hub by Clinique La Prairie in the UAE is a testament to the brands’ aligned core values. Together, the synergy between both iconic brands will deliver ultra-personalised wellness journeys through the Swiss brand’s unrivalled science and holistic approach to health and wellness for the first time in the country.”
Spanning 3,800 square metres and three floors, Longevity Hub by Clinique La Prairie is a serene spot. Located on the 28th floor, it feels like you are floating above the city. The contemporary and calming design includes floor-to-ceiling windows, marble floors, and soft white furniture. Plus, there are blockbuster views of the Burj Khalifa.
Longevity Hub by Clinique La Prairie includes the Movement Studio with state-of-the-art equipment, a Longevity Bar with healthy juices, and a cryotherapy, steam and sauna room. When we enter, we take the Longevity Index. The test assesses our health from the inside out across beauty, detox, energy, immune and metabolic health. While we are measured, scanned and weighed, we answer questions on our sleep to stress levels. The result: a breakdown of our health in an informative and innovate way.
The therapist suggests treatments to address our needs. The options range from the Chi Nei Tsang, which works on the diaphragm to IV Drips, which are a celebrity favourite. The Himalayan Salt Stone Massage is prescribed, and it aims to rebalance the body by eliminating toxins.
Located on a lower floor, the treatment rooms are down a dimly lit corridor. The sophisticated space overlooks Dubai and can be closed off by curtains. The polite and professional therapist could have easily left it at the assessment, but asks further lifestyle questions and offers advice. It is the little details, from the hot towels to heated stones, which take this from a standard to a soothing massage.
What the relaxation area lacks in size, it makes up for in views. Each bed can be separated off with a curtain to create a cocoon. Plus, there are a selection of fruits and teas available.
Longevity Hub by Clinique La Prairie in Dubai offers a world-class, one-of-a-kind experience. There are spas that ask you to pick out a stone, which translates to the mood and menu. Then there are spas—like Longevity Hub—where science sets it apart. It’s hard to dispute the numbers, especially in the body composition report. So, if you see spas as a luxury rather than a necessity, this will make you rethink wellness.
One&Only is back, and this time it’s personal.
