South Korean café Bando Coffee opens in Dubai
Dig into Insta-worthy drinks and desserts.
Dubai, it’s time to wake up and smell the Bando Coffee. The new café has opened in Wafi Mall, and serves South Korean-inspired coffee and cakes. So, if you’re in need of a pick me up, here’s what you need to know about the sleek new spot.
In Korean, Bando means peninsula and refers to the South Korean peninsula. Bando Coffee boasts a beautiful interior with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the streets, sky and palm trees. The interiors are simple yet stylish, with a contemporary and cool aesthetic. The neutral tones span a wooden counter to white tables with soft browns and beiges. Guests can choose from high tables with stools and long tables with plush chairs. Plus, there are shelves stacking coffee products.
At Bando Coffee, the dishes are served in style. Sandwiches sit on newspapers, drinks are in Bando branded cups and desserts look good enough for Instagram. The drinks range from a freshly roasted Americano to a Matcha Latte that can be customised with an extra shot of espresso. Plus, if you need to cool down, order the Vanilla Latte topped with vanilla ice cream.
Wafi Mall is home to a range of shops, restaurants and cafés. The options include Asha’s, Biella Café and Ristorante, Bubee Tea, DXBBlends Café, Elements Café, ICONS Coffee Couture, Khan Murjan Restaurant, McCafferty’s and Ramesses Café. Plus, the mall is also home to Wafi Health Club and Spa, the world’s only dry-aged meat boutique, and is connected to Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk.
Bando Coffee is open from Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm.
