The collection covers loungewear, swimwear and underwear.
Kim Kardashian’s Skims has landed in London. If you want to get your hand on the reality TV star’s shapewear line, then head over to Selfridges. Located in the world-famous department store, the Skims pop-up will be open until 8 July.
The pop-up is located on the ground floor of Selfridges’ The Corner Shop. The décor is inspired by Kim’s hometown of Los Angeles, California, and is decorated with palm trees, dive boards and surfboards. Plus, there is ice cream from Chin Chin Labs.
The Skims pop-up collection covers loungewear, underwear, swimsuits and bikinis. Plus, Kim’s favourite pieces are the signature Triangle Top and Dipped Tie Bottoms.
Kim explains: “I’m thrilled to bring Skims Swim to London for the first time ever, exclusively at Selfridges. Selfridges is known for its innovative retail experiences and for stocking the best fashion – I can’t wait to come back and visit. Shopping can be so daunting and stressful, so I wanted to create a collection with a full range of coverage options.”
Robert Norton, Chief Commercial offer at Skims, added: “As we look to establish Skims as a global brand, Selfridges London is the optimal starting point for the next phase of Skims journey with our existing customer base in the UK and unparalleled business at Selfridges to date.
“The pop-up experience and expansion of our permanent shop-in-shop space at Selfridges set the framework for our global retail strategy. We will continue to leverage multi-brand partnerships this year as we plan to open 35 shop-in-shops in the US and internationally.”
Skims launched in 2019, and was created in partnership with Kim Kardashian and Swedish entrepreneur Jens Grede. At the time, Kanye West was credited as being the Ghost Creative Director. The concept is all about body positivity and inclusivity in its sizes. Today, the company is valued at over $3.2 billion.
Over the years, Skims has collaborated with big brands and celebrities. The brand collaborated with the United States Olympic team and created an athleisure line. Plus, it has collaborated with the Italian fashion label Fendi. FENDI X SKIMS featured leather dresses, shapewear and swimsuits.
Selfridges’ Skims pop-up is open daily from 10am to 10pm on weekdays, 10am to 9.30pm on Saturdays and 11.30am to 6pm on Sundays.
